On June 25, 2021 at 13 Uhr Dr. Eva-Maria Dürr from the research group of CIBSS member Prof. Dr. Maja Banks-Köhn at the University of Freiburg will present her research on special molecules called phosphatases. What sounds abstract has real consequences for us: the substances can become a health risk when bacteria release them in the water of swimming lakes. Dürr summarizes how and what the working group is researching, and what the initial results are, in a 20-minute lecture.
