Visualise your genetic material, learn the language of cells and discover what we are researching at CIBSS!

The cells of our body and all other living organisms have something in common: their genetic information is stored in the form of DNA. These long molecules are packaged in the cell nucleus and contain the instructions for how the cell is structured and how it ‘talks’ to other cells in order to form tissues and organs together with them.

At our booth at this year's Science Days at Europa-Park in Rust, you can isolate your own DNA and make it visible. We also have exciting examples from our research: you can watch fish grow in eggs and find out how plants perceive their environment and communicate with bacteria.
