Invited speaker: Jun.-Prof. Dr. Natalie Köhler

Dr. Köhler is a distinguished researcher specializing in tumor immunology and T-cell-based immunotherapies. Since May 2021, she has held the tenure-track professorship for Precision Targeting of Signaling Pathways at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Freiburg.

Her academic journey began with a Diploma in Molecular Medicine from the University of Freiburg in 2011, during which she completed her thesis at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Freiburg (2012–2015) and gained experience in both academia and industry. Her career includes roles as a Medical Trainee and Medical Manager in Hematology & Oncology at Roche Pharma AG (2015–2017), a postdoctoral researcher at the University Medical Center Freiburg (2018–2019), and a research fellowship at Stanford University (2019). Before her current position, she led a junior research group at the University Medical Center Freiburg (2019–2021).

As a researcher and mother of two young children (ages 1 and 3), Dr. Köhler will share insights from her career path, as well as her experience in balancing family and research. Her journey may offer valuable perspectives and inspiration for your career path.
