The Award: CIBSS biannually awards outstanding publications by doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. The major topic of the papers should be within the scientific focus of the cluster's research programme. An emphasis on integrative signaling research will be a plus.

Who can apply: All doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who conduct CIBSS-relevant research and are working in a research group of a Principal or Associate Investigator of CIBSS.

Requirements: In the publication, the CIBSS affiliation must have been mentioned correctly. The applicant must be the first, last, or corresponding author of the peer-reviewed paper. In case of shared authorship, the contribution of the applicant should be explained. Both self-nominations and external nominations are possible. The online publication date is relevant for the two-year period (April 2022 - April 2024) for which the paper is considered.

Prize money: Two CIBSS InteGREATor Awards for postdocs are endowed with €3,000 each, and two for doctoral researchers are endowed with €2,000 each. The award money has to be spent according to the DFG guidelines (Verwendungsrichtlinien 01/24). The funds have to be spent in 2024.

Application procedure: Each applicant can submit one or several published papers. They have to be assigned to either the doctoral or postdoctoral research stage. The application form (see below) has to be submitted together with the PDF of the publication and an illustrative figure via CIBSS website. The application deadline is April 15, 2024.

Evaluation procedure: The CIBSS Scientific Career Committee will make a preselection and recommend it to the CIBSS steering board for the final decision. The public appreciation of the 2024 prize winner will take place at the CIBSS Retreat between May 16 and 17, 2024.
